Many thank-yous for all the kind words, reblogs, and general support I’ve garnered on this tumblr o’mine. You guys rock <3 I’m gonna be going through my folders and posting a lot of WIPs and old sketches today.
To be honest, I’m kind of crazy obsessive inker and I put a lot of effort forth to make absolute sure they’re clean and crisp (er, unless I want a sketchier/messier look?). It helps that SAI is such a great program to ink in, but otherwise the best answer I can give is that I’m careful, and I pay a lot of attention to what I’m doing.
Any tablet recommendations for a beginner like me? (also I live you're art style, you are like, in my top 5 artists of all time :3)
I started out with the same tablet I have now, a 9x12 Intuos3. It made the transition from traditional to digital easy, but in retrospect I think a tablet that size is a bit unnecessary —you tend to adjust to whatever size you work with. I’d say just aim for what you think will be most comfortable for you, size/feel wise and budget wise.
Hi! your art is super neat and fantastic! Would you ever consider making a tutorial or showing your work process? I suck at art, of course, and I'm really interested in how you do the outlines and the coloring. Sorry if I'm annoying or bothering you, but your art is just really cool and inspires me to draw more! Thanks!
I might. Actually, I probably should, since there seems to be a lot of interest for me to do this. It’s just that I’m not the best teacher in the world, and it’s not like I have some SUPER AWESOME TECHNIQUE, the way I draw digitally is… well, pretty standard, if I’m being honest.
But I might try to throw something together. Maybe presented more as a walk through rather than a tutorial —I’m not qualified to be really teaching anybody.
