Don’t you hate misleading titles? Like how Sewer Shark isn’t about a mutated sewer-dwelling shark monster that lives off flushed goldfish and gets in fights with alligators?

Spyro Baddies: Year of the Dragon by =squeedgemonster
All together now~
Last of the Year of the Dragon baddies for now, the crystal bear from Crystal Islands!I didn’t originally have this one planned, but in the end I decided it’d be something fun and different from the norm.

Thanks to everyone who watched me stream this, it was fun! I’ll probably be streaming the rest of these, so keep tabs on @SqueedgeArt for updates. Aiming for one baddy a week, let’s see how it goes!

POWER UP by =squeedgemonster
Squeedge looking tougher than she actually is. I’m pretty sure her only super power is the ability to babble endlessly about reptiles, but hey, gotta rev up that knowledge every once in a while!I’ve been playing with her design a bit, too. Namely bigger hands and simplifying her body shape so it’s more fun to draw. Also, the shirt design was totally ganked right outta my JSRF tag folder. It seemed too perfect.(Fff, still gotta play with her proportions more, though, and hopefully settle on something enough to make a ref sheet.)

These little “gators” from Spooky Swamp rank high on my favorites list, they’re just so chompy and cute! I love the sounds they make, too. I WANT ONE.Probably gonna slow down with posting Spyro enemies for a bit, I don’t wanna get too burned out.

If you need a Spyro enemy to draw, I played Spyro 2 a few hours ago, and the Mystic Marsh animals are something i recommend! :)

I actually planned out all the enemies already, but I am planning to include one from Mystic Marsh! I’m going to keep my list to myself so I can surprise everyone, but you can expect at least six per game. Oh, and I should probably state I’ll be slowing down with #Spyro Baddies after this first batch from two a day to two a week. Shark week is coming up, which I’m doing something special for, and I’m working on a fairly ambitious project with Renard.

‘Nother Spyro 3 enemy, this time the pint-size mammoth you encounter in Frozen Alters! You get special ice breath for this level, allowing you to freeze your foes into ice cubes and use them as platforms.I was actually going to do the jackal from Haunted Tomb, but after thinking it over decided that, while cool, less memorable than the mammoth. Also I draw too many pointy dogs.

Continuing on with Spyro baddies! I’m doing these in groups of six from each game, starting with the third instalment, Year of the Dragon. This is Buzz, the first ‘big’ boss you fight in the game. It’s a total cake walk, but I find his design quite charming, and he’s probably the most memorable of the three monster bosses.

Gimmick by =squeedgemonster
I was debating posting this, but I realize a lot of my followers from tumblr don’t carry over to DA and vice-versa. Plus, this has kind of evolved from being just a place to dump doodles. So yeah, commission for Orange04 of her character breaking out some sweet freestyle/parkour moves. Also, her adorable tail mouth.

I’ll be perfectly honest and admit the only reason I started this side-project was because I wanted to draw my FAVORITE-favorite enemy from Spyro 3, THE T-REX COWBOY FROM DINO MINES.

I’ve started a little side project for fun and practice where I’m “reimagining” my favorite enemies from my favorite PS1 series of all-time, Spyro the Dragon. This is a “flying monster” from Spyro: Year of the Dragon that appears in Enchanted Towers. Terrifying rows of razor-sharp teeth, and the least threatening eyes you could imagine.

RENARD - FULL TECHNO JACKASS
It’s been an interesting few days! Yesterday, I had to have Squeedge (for those not in the know, she’s the main visual artistic force behind LAPFOX and PSURG) rushed to the Emergency Care Centre for severe abdominal pain, and it turns out she’s got a case of kidney stones. So it was luckily nothing deathly serious! However, since she doesn’t have health insurance and Canadian health care only covers Canadian residents, it cost quite a pretty penny to have her seen and put through scanning and whatnot. As such, I’ve compiled a super fun collection of sketch and scribble audio work of mine to release as a NAME YOUR PRICE fundraising album, so to speak. It features a lot of fun (and funny!) bits and pieces of rapid-fire music that came together as an oddly satisfying full album!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT, AND DON’T WORRY, THE NEW TRUXTON ALBUM AND ROBOT BRAINSTRONAUT BLASTOFF WILL BOTH BE OUT EVENTUALLY! I’M SORRY FOR THE WAIT!

I drew this on Percocet IT WAS NOT EASY.
