A pack of dingus dogs for Renard! I always love drawing these guys, and they go well together.
I’m feeling extortionately lazy this Christmas Eve, so in lieu of a description written by myself I’m just copying what Ren wrote on his tumblr:
LISTEN, DOWNLOAD, BUY: http://lapfox.bandcamp.com/album/on-trax-vol-5
spanning 25 tracks (+intro track) and featuring some of the COOLEST ART I’VE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF PUTTING ON A RELEASE (illustrated by squeedge), this is the BIGGEST ON TRAX release yet. 24 tracks including brand new unheard tunes, the past three months of free singles, and remastered classics dating back to 2009 make up this ENORMOUS disc. to top it all off, the 25th track is an 18 minute minimix of some of my personal favorite works from 2012.
the collection comes with an alternate cover and four wallpapers, and the entire thing is one big NAME YOUR PRICE package. $0? NO PROBLEM. $100,000? PROBABLY NO PROBLEM. whatever YOU see fit. cash-dolla-money support is SUPER DUPER APPRECIATED if you can spare it! ♥
It’s been an interesting few days! Yesterday, I had to have Squeedge (for those not in the know, she’s the main visual artistic force behind LAPFOX and PSURG) rushed to the Emergency Care Centre for severe abdominal pain, and it turns out she’s got a case of kidney stones. So it was luckily nothing deathly serious! However, since she doesn’t have health insurance and Canadian health care only covers Canadian residents, it cost quite a pretty penny to have her seen and put through scanning and whatnot. As such, I’ve compiled a super fun collection of sketch and scribble audio work of mine to release as a NAME YOUR PRICE fundraising album, so to speak. It features a lot of fun (and funny!) bits and pieces of rapid-fire music that came together as an oddly satisfying full album!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT, AND DON’T WORRY, THE NEW TRUXTON ALBUM AND ROBOT BRAINSTRONAUT BLASTOFF WILL BOTH BE OUT EVENTUALLY! I’M SORRY FOR THE WAIT!
I drew this on Percocet IT WAS NOT EASY.
out now! name your price for 11 tracks of superfun happy hardcore of all sorts! also has The Living Tombstone’s AWESOME Atomizer remix! working on this has been a blast. thank you!
support is super appreciated in any form! ♥
AMAZING cover artwork by squeedge
The other day Renard and I spent an inordinate amount of time looking at shiba inu. We came across this one picture and Ren was like “OH MY GOD, YOU HAVE TO DRAW TRUXTON WITH THAT FACE” and so I did.
It’s worth noting I did this with the Monoprice 10X6.25 tablet, which you can get here for about $50. I’ll write a more fleshed-out review, but here’s the gist: I don’t believe it out-preforms higher level WACOM tablets like some have stated, but it comes pretty damn close in comparison, and I’d highly recommend it. No, the pressure sensitivity isn’t as good as my Intuous3 or Cintiq, but for the price it’s almost negatable.
As previously mentioned, Renard and I will be at Anthrocon this year!

Renard and I are working on a THING and here is a thing from said thing.
Isn’t it magnificent.
My art should always be like this.
PHEW, finally done this. Some of you might have heard me talking about this on twitter. The file was MUCH larger than I usually work at, so I ended up saving each step of the way PLUS plenty of backups, because there were several occasions where SAI didn’t have enough memory to save the file properly.
BUT E’YEP, here is the Lapfox Anthrocon 2012 poster! These will be available from our table, E15, and individually signed/numbered by Renard and I.
Little “promo” image I threw together showcasing the button designs that will be available at our AC2012 table. If you’re going, be sure to stop by and check ‘em out!
If all goes according to plan, you should be seeing these in tiny acrylic form on our dealer’s table at AC12 (tableE15 for future reference).
Mischief and Mayhem are 2” charms, Lapfox logo is 1.5”, they will come with cellphone straps n’ all that. :3
out now! 13 tracks of ??????? for $4 USD. i feel like i say this with each new thing i put out, but i think this is overall some of my strongest and most cohesive work to date. i had a ton of fun working on it; experimenting with new vocal processing methods and chopping up / resequencing guitar samples was probably my favorite part of all of it. that and the sample-based blast beats!
amazing artwork by squeedge, of course! the presentation alone really drove me to do my best with this.
hope you guys dig it <3
I DREW THIS so it should go on my blog, yes.
Also, I know I recommend every album Renard puts out, but I can’t emphasize enough how happy I am that he picked this alias up again.
Oh jeez, right, I should post this. Non-edited version can be seen here.
DIGITAL OUT TONIGHT / TOMORROW MORNING WHATEVER YOU WANNA CALL IT as NAME YOUR PRICE. 9 HOTTT NEW FUN AND FUNNY SPEEDCORE TRAXX!
physical out SOME TIME SOON? http://www.facebook.com/lapfoxtrax for info as this is where i announce pretty much all of my physical releases. “weh announce on twitter and tumblr” - it’s really hard to coordinate that kind of posting even with automated stuff so no sorry :[
re: the ERGOSPHERE physical release: there are some technical problems in the way of it but it will happen also SOME TIME later on. sorry about that.
Reblog because I drew that there anime pinata. Renard was very adamant in the necessity of the “kawaii” factor. Yes.
